Birds in The Everglades
The Everglades are a world renowned place to watch birds and is the largest subtropical wilderness area in the United States. The slow-moving waters create a unique and lush habitat and include cypree swamps, freshwater marshes, prairies and mangrove forests. I found there many interesting birds like the anhinga, red-shouldered haw, various types of herons, the endangered wood stork, turkey vulture, snowy egret and not to forget the very beautiful coloured purple gallinule. For some shots of the nature have a look under Landscapes.
